Mehrauli Community Sewage Pond Restoration with Nanobubbles Technology

Once an important part of the local community, the Mehrauli Community Sewage Pond in Ropar District, Punjab, had become increasingly polluted due to the continuous discharge of untreated wastewater. Poor water quality, persistent foul odours and high microbial contamination had made the pond an environmental concern for nearby residents.

To support the restoration of the water body, Nanobubbles Technology was introduced using the N-50 Nanobubbles Generator, helping improve oxygen availability and support natural biological activity without relying on chemical treatment.

The transformation became evident within just six weeks. Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) decreased by 74%, while Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) was reduced by 82%. E. coli contamination also declined significantly, while unpleasant odours disappeared and the water became visibly clearer.

As the pond ecosystem recovered, fish and ducks were observed returning to the water body, providing a visible indication of improving environmental conditions and water quality.
